About the Role:

We are thrilled to offer an exceptional opportunity for a passionate and experienced Automotive Mechanic Technician to join the team at our Ford Service department based in Smithfield.

About the opportunity:

This role will be responsible for carrying out vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs to manufacturer and safety standards. The successful candidate will undertake the below:

• Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance as per repair orders, including diagnosing problem jobs
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of our products and services
• Identify and communicate additional work as needed
• Complete all work accurately in accordance with the Manufacturer Repair Times Guide and Peter Warren Retail standards
• Conduct road tests on vehicles to ensure quality
• Deliver high-quality, timely work to meet customer needs as per repair order instructions
• Perform quality checks on all completed work

About you:

Success in this role entails delivering high-quality, accurate vehicle repairs and servicing, meeting manufacturer standards and timeframes, maintaining a safe and efficient workspace, and contributing positively to team performance and customer satisfaction. You will also demonstrate:

• Preferably has experience with Ford, but not essential
• Holds a current driver's license
• Is a qualified Automotive Technician/Mechanic
• Has a strong passion for the automotive industry and the brand
• Can thrive in a busy service centre environment
• Is reliable with a solid work ethic
• Excellent attention to detail
• Can work independently as well as part of a team
• Possesses excellent organisational skills
