We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Workshop Controller to work in our busy Kia/Renault service team in Narellan.

About the role:

• Manage daily tasks for a team of technicians.
• Oversee technician productivity and efficiency.
• Prioritise repair orders for timely completion.
• Assist with technical problem-solving.
• Suggest additional work to the Service Advisor team for customer notification.
• Ensure repair orders are completed correctly for warranty procedures, seeking clarification when needed.
• Lead qualified technicians and apprentices to optimise service delivery.
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer benchmarks.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist in setting and achieving service sales and profit objectives.
• Control workshop activity to maximise profitability.

What we are looking for:

• Relevant trade qualifications and hands-on automotive experience

• Previous Workshop Controller experience highly regarded, but not essential

• Hold a current and valid driver’s license

• Strong time management skills with a reliable and punctual work ethic

• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team

• MVTC (Motor Vehicle Tradesperson Certificate) is essential

• Air-Conditioning License preferred, but not mandatory

• ASCIS & AUVIS Licenses desirable, but not essential

• High level of care, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship

• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written

• Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all procedures and standards
